性狀 深紅色至暗紅色有光澤斜方六面體或結(jié)晶性粉末，有輕微異臭和異味，不溶于水、丙二醇、甘油、酸和堿，溶于二硫化碳、苯、氯仿、乙烷及橄欖油等植物油，幾乎不溶于甲醇或乙醇。稀溶液呈橙黃至黃色，濃度增大時呈橙色（因溶劑的極性可稍帶紅色）。本品對光、熱、氧不穩(wěn)定，不耐酸但弱堿性時較穩(wěn)定，不受抗壞血酸等還原物質(zhì)的影響，重金屬尤其是鐵離子可促使其褪色。
